At nearly 4,800 miles, the NCT is the longest of the 11 National Scenic Trails. It runs from Crown Point, NY to Lake Sakakawea, ND, passing through some of the most rural and least-visited country in the eastern US. A complete thru-hike typically takes 7-9 months.
